SCC at 2020 Paris Arbitration Week
SCC’s Secretary General Annette Magnusson and Legal Counsel Natalia Petrik will participate in the virtual Paris Arbitration Week. Annette Magnusson will be discussing the future of international arbitration and Natalia Petrik will address questions on conflicts of interest.
On July 8, Natalia Petrik will attend Jus Mundi’s webinar titled “Conflicts of Interest in International Arbitration”, contributing to the panel “Outlining & resolving challenges raised by conflicts of interest in arbitration”. Together with fellow panellists Arne Fuchs (McDermott Will & Emery), Andrea Lapunzhina Veronelli (PCA) and Anastasiya Ugale (Independent arbitration practitioner), Natalia Petrik will discuss the role of arbitral institutions in resolving challenges to arbitrators.
On July 9, Annette Magnusson will participate in Fieldfishers webinar titled “Arbitral Institutions: Looking Into the Crystal Ball of Arbitration”. In the webinar representatives from five major arbitral institutions will discuss the future of international arbitration, the challenges faced by arbitral institutions today and the role that arbitral institutions should play in the current arbitration landscape. The other panellists are: Stefano Azzali (Secretary General, Milan Chamber of Arbitration), Dirk De Meulemeester (Honorary President, CEPANI), Alexander Fessas (Managing Counsel, ICC International Court of Arbitration), Gerard Meijer (President of the Board, Netherlands Arbitration Institute) and Jacomijn van Haersolte-van Hof (Director General, London Court of International Arbitration). The discussion will be moderated by international arbitration partners Marily Paralika and Maxime Berlingin from Fieldfisher.
