Welcome David Wigfeldt!
We are very pleased to welcome David Wigfeldt as new Legal Counsel at the SCC secretariat.
Please tell us about your professional background – and how it led you to the SCC!
After my law studies, I have worked as a corporate lawyer at a Swedish housing company, where I specialized in commercial contract law. Alongside my studies I completed an internship at Vattenfall's legal department, where I got to work with Caroline Falconer, now Deputy Secretary General at the SCC. The SCC, among other things, fulfills an important business function and is also an attractive workplace in many ways. So, when I got the possibility to join the SCC team, it was a fairly easy decision to make. I’m delighted and excited to join the team and to continue the SCC’s mission to facilitate trade and business!
What do you most look forward to in joining the SCC team?
Arbitration as a mean to solve disputes contributes to a better business climate, not only in Sweden, but also for businesses worldwide. My hope is that I will be able to contribute to this global business climate and to continued international trade through the services that the SCC.
